Service Description

Experience glacier hiking With the help of professional glacier guides, the right equipment, and expert guidance, it is no witchcraft to explore the Buarbreen Glacier. participants should be reasonably sure-footed. For people without any hiking experience on mountain trails, the trip can be exhausting. You will be roped up and walk leisurely with crampons and an ice axe along deep blue crevasses and high ice towers. Sometimes you can even crawl through some ice tunnels. What to bring Gloves, warm wind- and waterproof clothing, sunglasses, lunch package and solid shoes (trekking boots or mountain boots). The clothing must cover the whole body (no shorts or skirts without leggings) Duration: 3h round trip from the parking area to the glacier and back and approximately a 3h guided experience where 1,5h is on the ice. Make sure you have 30minutes extra before the hike on the ice if you need a break or something to eat. Meeting point: The blue cabin close to the glacier Ages: 15+ Date: Sat-sun in june, all of july and august, and sat-sun in september. Cancellation Policy

Day hikes: Customers will receive a full refund or credit with a minimum 2 weeks notice of cancellation. 2-1 weeks in advance you will be charged 50%, less than 1 week in advance will be charged 75% and 3 days in advance will receive no refund. No-shows will be charged the full price. All of our deadlines are also valid in case of illness or accident and they are identical with the cancellation rules. Travel insurance is therefore highly recommended! FORCE MAJEURE In the event of situations out of Hardanger Breførings control such as fire, natural catastrophes, etc, Hardanger Breføring reserves the right to cancel any agreement and accepts no legal liability for claims of damage, personal loss or injury.
