Service Description

Short blue ice hike for parents and sporty children Do you have sporty children who love a challenge as well? Then this family hike is the right choice! The hike is tailormade for families who want to experience an exciting and varied glacier hike and explore the blue ice world of Buarbreen Glacier. This tour is for families with fit children used to hiking and who love being outdoors. What to Bring Gloves, warm wind- and waterproof clothing, sunglasses, solid shoes (trekking boots or mountain boots). The clothing must cover the whole bodyl. Start time for hikes Everyday at 15 You have to walk from the parking lot to the glacier and back from the glacier to the parking lot. Duration is: 3h round trip from the parking area to the glacier and back, and approximately a 3h guided experience where 1,5h is on the ice. Make sure you have 30minutes extra before the hike on the ice if you need a break or something to eat. Meeting point: The blue cabin close to the glacier Dates: Sat-sun in june, all of july and august, and sat-sun in september

Cancelation Policy

Day hikes: Customers will receive a full refund or credit with a minimum 2 weeks notice of cancellation. 2-1 weeks in advance you will be charged 50%, less than 1 week in advance will be charged 75% and 3 days in advance will receive no refund. No-shows will be charged the full price. All of our deadlines are also valid in case of illness or accident and they are identical with the cancellation rules. Travel insurance is therefore highly recommended! FORCE MAJEURE In the event of situations out of Hardanger Breførings control such as fire, natural catastrophes, etc, Hardanger Breføring reserves the right to cancel any agreement and accepts no legal liability for claims of damage, personal loss or injury.
